VentRight is a reference website about home ventilation. It is operated by Sproutiva Ltd (company number 17324495), registered office East Lodge, Kartway House, Lugwardine, Hereford, HR1 4AE. In this policy "we" means Sproutiva Ltd. We have built this site to hold as little of your data as possible.

What we collect

Nothing by default. You can read every guide, use the calculators and the selector, and browse the whole site without giving us any personal information. We set no cookies, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not track you across other websites.

Anonymous usage statistics. We record basic, anonymous events so we can see which pages are read and cited: the page path, the type of event (for example a page view or a calculator use), the referring site, and a timestamp. These events contain no name, no email, no account, no advertising identifier and no cookie. We cannot identify you from them.

Only what you send us. If you use the referral form or the partner form you give us your email address and whatever you choose to write in the message. We only receive this because you chose to send it.

How we use what you send

If you send a referral enquiry, we use your email and message to respond, and we may pass your details to a relevant ventilation installer so that they can contact you about your project. If you contact us as a manufacturer or installer through the partner form, we use your details to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing. Our lawful basis for handling an enquiry is that you asked us to act on it (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the UK GDPR).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then we delete them. Anonymous usage events carry no personal data, so there is nothing there to identify or remove.

Who else is involved

The site runs on third-party hosting, content-delivery and database infrastructure. Those providers process requests (including, briefly, IP addresses) so the site can be served, in line with their own security and logging. We do not store your IP address in our own records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Email hello@sproutiva.co.uk and we will respond. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would rather you came to us first.
