The guidance here is reference, not advice

VentRight publishes independent reference guidance on home ventilation: MVHR, MEV, dMEV and PIV systems and the regulations that apply to them. It is general information, not professional, installation or regulatory advice, and it is not a substitute for it.

Building work in the UK must meet the Building Regulations. Before you specify, buy or install a ventilation system, confirm what applies to your property with a competent person and, where required, with your local Building Control body or an approved inspector. Figures, prices and product specifications change; we cite and date our sources, but we cannot guarantee that every figure is current at the moment you read it.

Referrals and partners

If you ask to be referred to an installer we act only as an introducer. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, any contract, quote or work between you and an installer or manufacturer. We do not vet, certify or endorse the installers or manufacturers we list or introduce, and listing is not a recommendation.

The text, diagrams, calculators and design on this site belong to Sproutiva Ltd unless stated otherwise. You may read it and share links to it. You may not copy or republish it at scale without our permission.

Liability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or from acting on its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
